An Affordable Synth Emulator for Guitar

Designed to work with your guitar, without the need of any mods, special pickups, or external MIDI implementation, and featuring a comprehensive set of controls and outputs, the EHX Guitar Mono Synth would make a great addition to any players pedalboard.

Intuitive Control Set

First of all you have Volume controls for your Dry and "Synth" signals, which allow you to produce the right kind of affected and unaffected signal mix for your situation. If you have Dry set to 0, then the signal will be all-synth.

It's worth noting that the Dry volume control doesn't have any effect on the Dry signal output socket. This socket simply sends an unaltered and buffered signal to a second amp or even other pedals that you don't wish the Synth sounds to be affected by.

Secondly you have the voicing section, with controls labeled Sens, and Ctrl. Sens (aka Sensitivity) allows you to choose at what level you wish your guitar's signal to be before the effect block triggers. Put simply: if you play some sections quietly, you'll want Sens to be turned up high, but if you play pretty aggressively then turn it down.

Ctrl affects certain perameters on each of the synth types, with everything from filter sweep width to oscillation frequency and more being altered, depending on effect type (see the Guitar Mono Synth manual upon purchase for further details).

11 is the Magic Number

The final control is Type, which allows you to choose which particular synth you wish to emulate. You have choices that range from classic-style synths, to more modern and dynamic types, and they are listed as follows:

Not only can you alter preset parameters for each with the Ctrl knob, but if you plug an external Expression pedal into the Exp socket too, you can broaden those horizons even further.
