Description:
The "Hero" by Ivan Fischer and the Budapest Festival Orchestra is a work of fearlessness, elegance, and poetic sentiment. At 53 minutes (with all the repetitions), the tempo is set at a leisurely pace in recent years, but it hardly gives the impression of being slow. Starting with the fearless and tight first movement, the second movement is sung slowly with a low center of gravity and the climax of the fugue is magnificent, the third movement highlights the characteristic rhythm, and the fourth movement is both graceful and powerful with a sense of solid structural beauty. The "Coriolan" was also well balanced. The "Coriolan" is also a very rewarding performance, and the release of the SACD hybrid disc, which maximizes the high sound quality of the DSD256 recording, is also a pleasure. The domestic edition comes with a Japanese commentary by Atsushi Suzuki.Japanese commentary by Atsushi Suzuki, Naxos Japan
